I've never left a Google review before but I feel I should. Originally took my truck to Mavis, was told they couldn't do the work, so I ended up at Skillenders. I'll never go anywhere else. Forget the corporate owned chain shops. THIS place is how all auto repair shops should be. The owner, Jacki, is personable, accommodating and honest. Her staff of mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I'm happy this place is local to me but if I lived far away, I'd still travel to get my vehicles serviced here.

I have been driving for over 60 years and have owned/leased over 40 vehicles, including family vehicles, mostly new, but high mileage used vehicles in the past 15 years or so.I have been involved in all phases of the Auto business, including sales, restoration and racing. My recent experience at Skillender's was one of the best I ever had. They quoted me the price, fixed the problem quickly and they charged me the exact price they quoted to me. I would recommend this shop to anyone without hesitation.

June 2025 Skillenders Automotive service shop, I have been here on several occasions from an oil change to a tune up. The lady at the front desk knows her cars. She can for the most part tell you what you need. Then comes the owner, she(yes I said she) knows her stuff it was passed down to her from her dad. Oil runs through vains her like the shop, very well oiled . It's located in Howell. Give her a try. You will not be disappointed.

I have nothing but good things to say about Skillender's. My car gave me troubles when I was visiting NJ for the holidays, and they did everything they could to help me get back on my way. Jacki (owner) jumped through hoops trying to figure out what was going on, and was completely transparent throughout the whole process. She also went extra steps advocating for my car when speaking with warranty. Lori (receptionist) kept me in the loop with each update, helping to ease anxiety during a stressful situation. I have never felt so cared for by a mechanic and their shop. I recommend this service center to anybody and everybody! I cannot thank them enough.

Jacki is great and honest. My car broke down on the side of the road. I had it towed to Skillenders and Jacki had me back up and running in less than one day. It needed a new alternator. I asked her to replace the tensioner pulley while she had the car apart since the car had so many miles (272000) on it and it had never been done. She talked me out of it saying the car didn't need it. Who does that? i trust her opinion but she could have just as easily made extra money off of me but didn't. Definitely going back when the old car needs more work.
